My name is Aaron Pandian. I am a GNC and Autonomy Engineer with a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Computer Science from UT Austin.
I build the software that makes autonomous systems work, from state estimation and sensor fusion to planning, control, and adaptive behavior. My work spans the full autonomy stack across UAV platforms, real-time embedded systems, and simulation environments, with hands-on experience in ROS 2, reinforcement learning, and GPS-denied localization.
Professionally, I develop and validate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for reentry vehicles and counter systems at Lockheed Martin Space, leveraging machine learning and integrating Matlab/Simulink models into high-fidelity C++ simulation pipelines. Before that, I supported flight test operations for the F-35 program, where I built ML-driven tools to automate data access in a mission-critical environment.
My goal is to bring this depth to fast moving, high-ownership teams building autonomous robotics for an impactful mission.
